This is classic Gore alarmist stuff;

FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY—
Al Gore predicted the North Polar Ice Cap would be completely ice free in five years. Gore made the prediction to a German audience in 2008. He told them that “the entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years.”

Today Cairo had its first snowfall in 100 years.

Yes - Mr. Gore claims the Sky Is Falling - along with many others who can't get it through their heads the last ICE age is still ending.
OH - I do believe that we do have to still do our share to clean up the air from pollutants, I have seen the change of air quality in the San Francisco area form '56 when I moved there - and the population is many time higher.
   To logical environmental progress.

Hey, Give the guy a break. He's been too busy inventing the internet to get his facts straight or to apply common sense to his goofy remarks.

Hyperbole from a few and data alteration in order to force an issue is not new. It it is wrong but the problem is real.

When I started to get interested in the subject I was reading the consequences of the climate changes and the predictions made by sensible non inflammatory sources that so far are correct:

Dryness in continental area and floods in coastal areas. True.
Colder winters. True
Progressive change in the jet stream. True
Less storms but much more violent. True
Progressive changes in the oceans currents. True
Meters high flooding from melting ice caps, denounced as scare tactics. True (the denunciation that is)
Change in bio diversity. True
Coming of a 'winter age' in the North hemisphere. Remains to be seen but summers do seem shorter and winters longer.

Gore and it's ilk can go *** themselves. They are the cause of all the 'It does not happen' reactions. Which makes me wonder for whom they are really working.

Much is said and true about the rising of the sea levels - BUT - not anything is said about them "Rising to previous levels" - All of Florida and the Yucatan Peninsula of MX is "Old Sea Bed" those are the two I know of - I know there are many more that I don't know of..

The 'old one' that creates the sink holes in FL is not related...

You can do a simple experiment in you own backyard (if it is not freezing in there that is).

Fill a bucket (half full)with water at room temperature.
Add ice onto it, a third of a bucket would do it quite nicely.
Place a marker at the new water fill line.
Once all the ice is melted, look at the marker. You will have a small surprise.
Now not all ice is already inside the water but most of it is. What is needs to cover not only the existing ocean surface but every nook and crannies that exist around them as well as the know 'lower seas' like the Mediterranean sea... Competent mathematicians went at it and are now scoffing with good reasons to that 'sea rising in a catastrophic scale' claim.

I may need to explain a bit...

The new water line would represent the current water line in a volume that has ice into it.

Ice floats as we all know, in known proportion. Ice also is water that uses more volume as it is expanded, we all know that too.

When all is melted, the displaced water is replaced by the melted ice minus the expansion factor. The result?

Look at it.

The claims based on the sheer volume of ice to melt? Bullshit.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people still buy into the whole global warming... er I mean Climate Change, being the fault of human activity. It should be clear as clean air by now, that the whole CO2 myth is so much bovine excrement. While CO2 levels have slowed little, if any in the past decade, global average temperatures have not continues to rise. Not a single climate model that all the dire predictions were founded upon a decade or more ago, has ever shown what the actual climate did.

Further, more if CO2 was the cause of too much warming 10, 15 or more years ago, how can it be claimed now that it is responsible for the lower temperatures or any change in the climate? The Earth's climate has never been static in all of it's history, so what makes these pseudoscientists so convinced that now it's our fault?

Dr Richard Feynman, arguably one of the greatest physicists of the twentieth century, I would go so far as to say second only to Einstein, never commented on Global Warming so far as I can find. However, he did talk about the type of pseudoscience that the climate change scaremongers practice. He called it "Cargo cult science" and that is exactly what the pushers of this climate change crap are practicing.

I'll save you the effort of looking it up yourselves...

Even brilliant scientist miss the clues until slapped in the face.

Einstein slapped us, his turn, that is all.

Physicist vs climatologist.. What is the relationship?

Did you bother to read or listen to Feynman's talk, or are you just speaking without the benefit of any knowledge of that which you speak? The problem with government subsidized science, is that it tends to motivate the beneficiaries to tell those paying the bills what they want to hear, not necessarily the truth, because then the money will go away.

Feynman stated in the talk: "If you make a theory, for example, and advertise it, or put it out, then you must also put down all the facts that disagree with it, as well as those that agree with it. There is also a more subtle problem. When you have put a lot of ideas together to make an elaborate theory, you want to make sure, when explaining what it fits, that those things it fits are not just the things that gave you the idea for the theory; but that the finished theory makes something else come out right, in addition.

In summary, the idea is to try to give all of the information to help others to judge the value of your contribution; not just the information that leads to judgment in one particular direction or another."

This is exactly what today's "Climatologists" who peddle this climate change crap avoid. They never tell policy makers, or the public how their silly theories of AGW or now Climate Change are never confirmed by use of the scientific method, only what their theory is as though it id fact. If you know anything at all about the scientific method, you would understand why this is all so much BS. As Einstein once said "No amount of experimentation can ever prove me right; yet a single experiment can prove me wrong." this is why there are so few physical laws in nature. The fact is that every theory put forth for man caused climate change has been proved wrong in at least one experiment, yet the alarmists continue to push the lie as fact.

The fact remains that the climate has been changing since the beginning of the atmosphere, and while man may have some miniscule effect, it is so small that it is insignificant in the overall scheme of things. Those who try to convince the public otherwise are simply dishonest. As Feynman also said in his talk, "I would like to add something that's not essential to the science, but something I kind of believe, which is that you should not fool the layman when you're talking as a scientist." meaning the layman tends to have little understanding of science and are therefore inclined to place high regard for the word of scientists. When scientists lie to the public, it places the entire profession in a questionable light.

As a working scientist I find the whole practice of scientific deceit to be despicable.

What is wrong with you .... you quote a physicist who died in 1988 to make a point about a 21st Century problem .... global warming wasn't a perceived problem in 1988 ..... unless you have the ability to channel him ... find better experts to support your minority opinion ...

Al Gore and the "Global Warming" parasites he inspired have cost the Western World a bunch of money. Mean while he resides in his palatial home with all his comforts.

He wasn't wrong - he only missed it by a few years perhaps. The arctic is still melting, and has become a new geopolitical battlefield with countries vying for oil drilling rights and shipping lanes in the thawed-out arctic.
