FOR A GREAT TRAVEL CAMERA- AND FOR ALL AROUND USE-
SEE THE CANON POWERSHOT- G15 OR G16
ITS THE CLOSEST THING TO A DSLR (NO INTERCHANGEABLE LENS)
LOADS OF FEATURES IN A BODY THAT WONT QUIT .
ON OCCASION I STILL USE MY G1 (ABOUT 12 YHRS OLD) AND IT
FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY.

The photo is a top view. The rewind crank is almost always on the bottom.

Mmmm...I didn't have Nikon but the rewind lever, which also activated the lightmeter, was around the knob that set ISO and shutter speed.
