A question for SteveR and Bangee.

We have discussed religion and it is a subject we will probably never agree on. That's fine I really do respect your beliefs. My question is, I've pretty well led the rock and roll life style. I've drank way too much alchohol than was good for me, I've done a lot of drugs, and I've had a lot of sex with a lot of women in a lot of different ways. You may have forgotten to say grace, one time in your life before sitting down to a meal. Are we both going to the same Hell?

Hi Wellhiem, I'm not SteveR or Bangee, but the answer is yes. All three of you, and the rest of the human race for that matter, are going to hell.
Of course, we may be there already, or maybe religion is all a big fairy tale and when we die we're just dead and life goes on without us, or maybe GOD has a sense of humor and is willing to forgive the vices of human beings because we were cast in his/her image and he/she truely loves us.
That touches on another question I've always contemplated. If there is a GOD, why is GOD always referred to as a man? Couldn't GOD be a woman, a dog, cloud of gas and electricity, etc. ?

Hmmm...according to many Christians, all of you, as well as Adolf Hitler and Jeffrey Dahmer, can get in to Heaven as long as you ask forgiveness before you die. So there's still time! The Mormons even believe that you can be Baptized (or blessed, or whatever they do) AFTER you die so that your soul can move in to Heaven. Now THAT's a sweet deal!

Hi Wellhiem, I'm not SteveR or Bangee, but the ans... (show quote)

A very well thought out answer. My own opinion, God can not be either male or female unless there's another God which is the opposite. And if you have another God, you can not have a one true God.

First class garbage post. Really worth reading about some ones personal life.

Sorry to disappoint you Wellhiem but there is no hell. It was made up by man when they thought they could get you to worship god through fear. When that failed, the Catholic Church resorted to murder, torture and an occasional burning at the stake and now Muslims are trying the same thing.
However, I congratulate you on living a life of debauchery, excess and abuse. Life should not be spent quietly waiting for death but rather you should arrive at the end exhausted and thinking, it was a hell of a ride.

Here I be... Hell? If you believe that there is a physical place know as hell with all the fire and brim stone, which I don't. Hell in the Bible is a reference to the grave I do believe but others may disagree, but if there is that place called Hell as you know it, then yes, we will be there together.
I believe that God can and will destroy the "wicked" when all of this has finally played out. The END of TIME. But it will be in instant, not prolonged as some believe. If you did not accept God in life you would never accept him.
God is neither male nor female. God is Spirit and there fore must be worshiped in spirit. You can take the word spirit to mean many different things. The Bible describes the Spirit of God as the wind. You can not see it but you can feel it and see its effects.

That is God's call to make. But what would think of a god who would sentence a person to hell for not saying grace?
I would say of such a god that he had already determined to send me to hell and was just waiting for a "GOTCHA!" opportunity to send me there. I never stood a chance.
Luckily, that is NOT our Christian God, according to what His Son told His eyewitness Apostles. Our God loves us and wants us to pass that love on to everyone else...in other words to love others as He loves us.
The truth can be found in our New Testament...not in this Forum...give it a try...can't hurt nothing...but Satan!
(Did anybody actually say what you said in your question?
WOW!)

If the countless people who have experienced after-life experiences are to be believed, there is not only a hell, but it happens almost instantly upon dying - no waiting lines. Those who have come back are radically changed and are evangelizing others.

As to myself, Christ is my faith. If that fails me, then it has been a beautiful life despite my sins. Christ is the answer: John 3:16.

If heaven as you seem to think of it exists, you are going to find it a very lonely place.

The Bible says that we are all sinners, and on the way to Hell, but if we are willing to ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and save us, He will do just that! Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins on the cross of Calvary, He died in our place, so that we don't have to go to Hell. Hell is not a myth, it is a reality. Hell is NOT here on earth, but is an eternity of suffering. No one has to go there, but JESUS is the ONLY way not to go. Trusting Jesus is the best thing that has ever happened to me! Read Romans 3:23, 6:23, 5:8, 10:8-10 and 10:13, if you will. Jesus wants us to be saved and live forever with Him in heaven, but the choice is ours!

If everyone would inspire to the teachings of Christ we would have heaven on earth! Simple as that! There would be no crime or want for anything but we know that this is an impossibility during our lifetime. But to a true believer even a task as large as converting the entire world to Christianity seems attainable

But do you think you have the right to convert the world to Christianity? And if you do, how can you say that Muslims are wrong for wanting to convert the world to Islamm?

Please allow me to interject my .02 into this discussion. I do believe there is a heaven and a hell. I do believe God exists because he has spoken to me on a couple of occasions, not in a big booming voice from MGM but in a conscious thought. I will not go into the details but you can either believe me or not. That is up to you. I am a Christian and sometimes back slide and commit sins. God accepts me as I am and I continue to ask forgiveness. Isn't it amazing that when bad things happen in our lives we always blame God but never seem to blame Satan. Our children or other loved ones die but we blame God. Our house burns down so we blame God. We forget that Satan is out there doing his best to bring us down.

As for Christians or Muslims having the right to convert the world to Christianity, nobody has that right. I agree the Catholics (and other religions) tried in centuries past to forcibly convert others to the desired religion. Today it seems only the Muslims use that tactic.

If you choose to enjoy a religion other than Christianity that is certainly up to you. It is your choice to believe in your God or not. I totally believe in my God.

Dennis
