Well it's not Canadian Geographic and it was tied for first with 4 other submissions but this area has a number of very good photographers whose work is regularly published in the local paper. So just being in their company is quite an honor for me. C&C welcome.

That is so true, Hal81...the Snowbirds are one of the Canadian icons! We - CFB Comox and the people of the Comox Valley - have the honor of hosting the Snowbirds for 2 weeks in April each year while they dust off the performance "cobwebs". The weather is not usually as spectacular as it was last Saturday so this was a real treat for us!

It's good to have strong competition, and the other four must be pleased too, to have photographs that compare with this one. Well done, you have done justice to those pilots who have spent time practising, and getting this right.

Awesome shot. You can be very proud of yourself. Have you tried it in black and white. Feel it would make the aircraft stand out particularly well. Just a thought.
