I'm just curious, what is the average life span of a cow?
If you are talking dairy cows about 5 years, because of the high percentage that don't make the cut after their first couple calvings. I think beef cattle might be similar. Steers usually don't make it past age two. My daughter has a 14 year old steer and when I was working on a dairy farm we had a couple in their 20's.

LOL, she was not nearly as interested in him as he was in her... he did eventually get her to the far corner of the pasture... funny to watch the maneuvering that took place, LOL. The picture before this one her 007 was covered, thinking maybe he worked up an appetite! :lol:
