Here's a thought: How about having a run-off when there are so many choices? Do the voting in groups of 50 or so. Just a thought.

OK. If you cut off the contest at 300, then voters could vote on 1-50, 51-100, 101-150... and so forth. Then the top 5 from each group of 50 would be in the final-- or something like that. I just find there are too many to pick from. JMHO!

Got it! Another option I will ask for is a Compare feature where you can select ones you like then come back to them later. Thank you.

Compare would be nice. I would have to make up my eyes quicker. LOL

My photo was one of a number that did not get in to the competition this week, but I would be grateful for feedback.

Taken in my garage, working on the grinding wheel. It was at night and I turned the lights all out. I used the self timer on my Canon 600 with a Canon 100mm macro lens. Foolishly I forgot to note down the settings and have not been able to repeat the effect since! You live and learn, I hope.

Great image. Either your camera or your photo editing software should have metadata, which would give you all the details. If you post it on Flickr under options you can get EXIF data. example..Exif data
Camera Nikon D5100
Exposure 0.001 sec (1/2000)
Aperture f/7.1
Focal Length 200 mm
ISO Speed 400
Exposure Bias +1 EV
Flash No Flash

Thanks for going to that trouble and for helpful advice, I have now seen that in iPhoto I can get the information. But am grateful for your reply.
