What does (TV)mode stand for Dixiegirl? By A mode do you mean Aperature Priority Auto or full Auto?

Thanks so much!

These birds were all shot using the Canon 100-400. I shoot my birds in shutter priority (TV) mode with my shutter speed usually set on at least 400. Since I'm shooting mainly out a window, I set my ISO on at least 1,000 depending on the light outside the window. Any resulting noise is eliminated using Topaz DeNoise.

These photos are very beautiful Dixiegirl...well done!

Ernie, TV mode is shutter priority. AV mode is aperture priority. I'm sorry. I should have explained better. And you're most welcome.

Dixiegirl,

Nikon uses S for Shuttter priorty, A for aperture priority, and M for manual.

One correction though, Canon Speak AV= aperture, not A.

Thanks, Al. I didn't know that. I'd be lost without a Canon :-)

Coming from someone who likes to take bird photos too, I'd say you did a beautiful job. Very nice photos! I am impressed with the job Topaz DeNoise did...I have been wondering about it. Looks to me like it does a great job.

I'm a birder and these photos are inspirational! I'm going to try using high iso when photographing birds too. Thanks!
