Last December I posted that in Lightroom 6 STAND ALONE that sometimes in uploading images the Chromatic Aberrations and Lens Profile Corrections boxes would be checked and sometimes not. Some didn't know the answer and some suggested that a preset was checked and sometimes not.
New developments, when I upload images from my Nikon D7100 the two boxes are NOT checked. Have to go and manually check them.
When uploading images from my D7200 the boxes are automatically checked.
I can't find any presets that I made that would automatically check these boxes.
New guesses anyone???

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Don

Been a long time since I used LR6. My memory doesn't go back that far.

Can you define "upload". There is "Import" and with it are options to "Copy", "Move" and "Add". Are your files on one of your drives or a camera card?

It's possible Adobe didn't understand the lens data from the D7100 and / or Nikon corrected something in the camera+lens data for the files coming from the D7200. If a third-party (non Nikon) lens is involved, this garbled communication is more possible / likely. But, trying to trouble-shoot discontinued cameras and software from around 2017 is next to impossible in May 2023. Another possible issue is the lens was released post Dec-2017, so there's no way Adobe LR6 could have a profile. Or, the lens came between the D7100 and D7200 releases and the D7100 doesn't fully 'understand' the lens for provided the proper support into the resulting images files.

Dwight, Bill & Paul,

My memory has problems also Dwight!

By upload I mean import, Copy is used and it is from the card I just took out of my camera.
The lens being used 90% of the time is 18-200mm 3.5-5.6GII ED - a DX lens and Yes a profile does show up.
It is no earth shattering dilemma but if I could find a way to get the boxes checked when uploading/importing when using
the D7100 it would save me some time.
Thanks to all that responded and offered assistance.

Create a develop or import preset that triggers these settings. Name it for the D7100, when used, or maybe both camera and lens in a descriptive name. If unsure how to do, send me a note / reply.
