Tina Turner R. I. P.
Tina was 83, and she gave us a lot of entertainment.
May she Rest In Peace. 🙏🙏
She was from Saint Louis, MO
My favorite Tina Turner song is one of her really early songs called "Its gonna work out fine" with Ike actually doing background vocals. It's a song I grew up with and I also loved the percussion background. Ike was such an idiot. He had the golden goose and couldn't handle it. They didn't call Tina the "Lady with the golden legs" for nothing. From what I have read, the movie about her life, with Lawrence Fishburn playing Ike, was pretty accurate. I also liked the song "Mountain High, Valley low!.

I saw her and Ike in the 60s, never seen anyone dance like that. She was great.

Me too. Ike and Tina Turner and the Ikettes. It was a 3 day long festival with the Doors, Led Zepplin, Alice Cooper, BB King, Buddy Guy, Stephan Stills, and a gazillion other acts. Ike and Tina were highlights of the experience. Most of the same performers as Woodstock. But a couple weeks earlier. I only wish Jimi Hendrix would have been there, it was near his home town, Seattle.
Tina was a great entertainer! May she RIP.
