In one of my forays on the bike, I noticed a GBH surveying a pond. He was an easy subject, so I took a series of his movements.

Thanks. It was this motion that stopped me originally.

These herons will wipe the fish out of a pond - totally! Herons are extremely territorial so if one places a facsimile of a heron, even a crude one, they will leave the fish alone. My son-in-law made one out of electrical tubing and it protected the fish in his pond.
