Karank is one of the largest ruin sights in Egypt. Notice the ornate carvings on the stone columns.

Very interesting! Is this place older than some of the other ruins we have seen here lately? It looks like either a lot of erosion or more primitive carvings starting out.
Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I (reigned 1971–1926 BCE) in the Middle Kingdom (around 2000–1700 BCE) and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE), although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom.
