Hi, got a chance to get this camera for my wife, $100.00
I have read a few reviews, but would like to know if anyone here knows, or used this bridge camera.
There's no manual controls but she would not use them anyway. Strictly auto for her.
I know it's a replacement for the P510, which I probably would not be interested in for her.
However, she needs another camera, her last one bit the dust. A D7200 which was way to much for her. (It would have been fine, except for the river water it was bathed in)
So, anyone got any advise on this?
Thanks
Rich
Stay away from the river - I have a p510 in the car with me. I like it for those shots I would've missed. I know it's a little slow and the image quality isn't the greatest but then that about sums me up to.
For a hundred dollars I would take a chance on that B500 but don't expect much

I bought one new from Walmart just a few short years ago and took it to Jacksonville Florida Saint Augustine did the whole thing and I used it rain and snow and sunshine. It took decent pictures and videos. It was lightweight and easy to handle for what you paid you got a good buy for a decent camera. She should be happy with it.
Bruce.
Why not go for one of the Panasonic/LUMIX compacts with a viewfinder? Affordable, good zoom ranges, and trulympocketabke? I have a ZS100 and carry it with me every day I’m out and about.

I agree however they have already bought the Nikon. I have a Lumix FZ300 and love it.

A girl in my photo club has one. She knows its limits and works around them. She uses Gimp to process her images and I must say, what she does with the camera is quite impressive.

Thank you for the info. I will check that line of cameras out. I just have a chance to get the nikon for a really good price. Haven't pulled the trigger yet.
Thanks again

Thank you all for the information.
The wife gets a new to her nikon B500.
And yes she is banned from the river area.
Strangly enough, the lens (a tamron 18-400) still works. Really would not have hurt my feelings if it would have died, but, I really loved that d7200. I used it regularly, my other camera d810 is great, but sometimes I just wanted to use the 7200. Anyway,
Thanks again.
