I've got a question about Nikon DSLR cameras since Nikon has pretty much switched over to Z mount lens for their mirrorless camera bodies why can't you find their DSLR lens on sale anywhere.

Because they are not going to sell more with a sales. And they don't have a big inventory of them they need to get rid off. It's better for them to keep the price high. Keeping the price high for the F lenses helps sell the Z lenses.

Visit the NikonUSA website and get on the email list to be notified of special offerings. There have been a number of sales on Nikon cameras and lenses over the past year. I bought a Nikkor 24-120mm f/4 F mount zoom late last spring for well under $500. You can buy a 24-70mm f/2.8 non-VR F mount lens right now for less than $1000. Some of these sales are for refurbished products, others for brand new. But you may have to act fast if something you want comes available.

Many are selling their f mount glass to buy Z glass, so there are a lot of very good deals on used glass. Personally, I like KEH.com, but there are several really good used camera sites out there. My local brick and mortar store also buys and sells used gear.

Nikon was advertising refurb sales yesterday on-line. But not all that great for deals. Try MPB. My favorite for used lenses at reasonable costs.

Nikon has refurb sales all the time, there you will find DSLR lenses on sale, or usually 10% off the regular refurb price. You can also buy refurb most of the time on nikonusa.com, go to top header, choose DEALS, under DEALS you will fine, Products on Sale (currently they have a new Nikon 80-400 on sale), also under DEALS, you will find "Refurbished" and there you will find even more DSLR lenses for sale, only not an additional 10% off. Like I said, they offer 10% off refurbished a couple of times a year. Make sure when your on the Nikonusa.com site you sign up for notifications.
AND, under the tab LENSES, you can buy most Nikon DSLR lenses you want.
Check out the website.
I also when to B&H and under their search button, I put in Nikon DSLR lenses, and guess what, all of Nikons DSLR lenses came up.
So there you go.
Good luck and keep on shooting until the end.
PS. Again, if you sign up to get emails from Nikon, you will be sent, from time to time, emails containing info on Nikon products that are on sale.

Nikon is having a sale this weekend on refurbished gear. You will find lenses there. I often shop this site and have never been disappointed in my purchases. Check them out on the Nikon USA site, under the “deals” tab.

With the FTZII adapter, the lenses are worth just as much.

Not even close to being correct. An F Mount lens, on an FTZ or FTZII adapter is still as good, optically, as it was, but the larger rear lens opening and the closer-to-the-sensor design of the Z Mount, make better lenses possible. Take the 400/2.8 TC and the 85/1.2 (both which I own) as example. Best of luck.

Well, except for the AF-capable models that need a focus motor in the camera body ...
