I previously shot with a Canon 7D, until it literally fell apart. Budgetary concerns prevented me from buy any of the camera on my wish list, but I find;;y chose this one.

Anyone else using this camera?

There are a few here.
I went from 7D to R7 though and what a huge step up.
If you could swing 300 more for the body and 100 more for the adapter you will be far happier than the incremental upgrade of the 90D.
R7 and 90D sensors are same MP but the R7 is a whole 2 new generations better especially in low light, noise and DR.
But I have not heard negative thoughts on the 90D.
PS ALL your EF/EFs lenses work 100% perfectly, I have no R lenses, yet only EF/EFs as well as R, FL and FD lenses for it.

I am, for over a year now. I was given it as part of a particular job and didn't have any great expectations. I was able to keep it after the job was completed. I love it and now use it more than my 5D II bodies. Surprised me. If there are particular questions you have feel free to send me a private message. Discussions about brands and models can descend into petty bickering and misinformation. If CHG_CANON shows up here, he is the best source for info on all things Canon.

Thanks so much...unfortunately, I already bought the 90D, and I have an adapter...but I have some lenses and lighting equipment to sell, so maybe I could make the move up! I was so overwhelmed when my 7D died..I spent days and say on B&H looking at every possibility. I really wanted a mirrorless, and struggled so much as to cropped vs full frame. Gawd I hate how many voices there are! But I just went to B&H's website and checked the R7 out... it's a nice little camera! Food for thought..thanks!

The R7 has video capabilities that I wish the 90D had. Same sensor, newer processor, better DR and low light performance apparently. But I think you will be happy with the 90D.

The cameras keep improving and there are so many choices.

Thanks for your feedback! I really don't do video, except for family stuff...
but I'm interested in finding something 'lighter', easier to take everywhere, all day!
Of course, with a 70-200, that's where the real weight is!

70-200mm and the R7 is a very light weight package.

The 90D is a very good DSLR. I’ve had mine for a year and am very happy with it.

I have the predecessor to the 90D, the 80D and loved it. I found it could focus is light much lower than my older T2i. The only reasons I went to the R7 are the eye focus and IBIS. I'm sure you would be pleased with the 90D, it should be even better than the 80D. I don't know why you need an adapter, the 90D should take EF and EF-S lenses directly.

HOWEVER, if you could find a nice used R7 and adapter...

Can't say about the 90D, but when I went to the R7 I found my Windows 7 PC was too old for the software that went with it so I now have a Windows 11 PC. (Windows 10 would have sufficed). Wound up spending more than I planned.

I replaced my 7DII with the 90D and perceived a noticeable improvement in IQ. It’s a good camera and very capable.

I have had the 90D for some time and really like it. I bought it with the 18-135 Canon lens and like that as well. I also have a Sigma 18-300 and Tamron 18-400. I am not a mirrorless fan. I like looking through the lens as I get a better shot. I do use the live view occasionally especially on a tripod with Canon app.

Great! Thanks..
I keep having a problem with 'multiple exposures.
I set it, but about 50% of the time it takes a shot but doesn't stay in that mode?!
I guess I should call Canon!
It makes me crazy!🙀
