This STOL aircraft was built--and much of it engineered--by my good friend and neighbor, Mike Patey of Provo, Utah.

Wow! My youngest brother was the helicopter technician for Red Bull's pilot for many years until he recently retired and a new pilot took over. Those guys have no fear or they sure know how to overcome it.

Had no doubt that he could land in that space. STOL competition has these guys landing very short. What I wondered about was the winds and turbulence on that pad with the building and such around it. they guy is really good. Love the takeoff too.

It helps that the helipad is so high above ground so if he misses he could dive and gain enough speed.
