I've eaten there, same location. Did you buy some Moon Pies on the way out?

Cracker Barrel has gotten too big for its britches. Its menu of today has lost its connection to its origins. It has become corporate restaurant food.

I don't have to eat at Cracker Barrel I do it because I enjoy the food and can get food other restaurants don't or will not serve. I also like the old time store atmosphere of each of the different Cracker Barrels.

I also eat at a Mexican Restaurant called El Rosals. I started eating there when it was just a hole in the wall and they had lines out the door because they didn't have enough seating, they then started opening up new restaurants in different parts of Modesto and south. When c-19 hit some of those restaurants closed. They are family owned and they expanded like a corporation.

Thanks! We usually stopped at the Cracker Barrel when we traveled. That's a nice display. That give me something to think about, but I'd have to find the wall space.

We will visit my daughter who is studying Music Education at SUNY Fredonia. It’s a long drive and we stop in Horseheads, NY and grab some grub at Cracker Barrel. Our GPS has the setting memorized.

GPS is good for that. I still have routes saved in FL and HI. I won't be going back, but I don't want to delete them.

Every now and then I will reset the GPS. I will let her drive a few blocks only to discover she is not in Puerto Rico. She will be screaming for 2 hours.

Funny. I avoid toll roads when I can. The time difference is about three minutes saved by taking the Interstate, but MPG goes down, and I have to pay a toll. It's longer but, maybe, three minutes faster.

A few years ago, the GPS told me to drive north - north of the Hudson river - to avoid a toll. That would have turned a half hour trip into a 2.5 hour trip. Luckily, I knew where I was going. I emailed Garmin about that, and they changed it. "Avoid Toll Roads" had it avoiding any tolls.

Odd situation - when I tried to update the maps, it said there wasn't enough room! I'll have to limit my driving to places with old roads.

I've been running ideas through my mind. I would use a cheap ukulele kit, rather than hang a good uke on the wall.

As an educated hillbilly transplant, I enjoy Cracker Barrel for the country ham that is generally unavailable anywhere else.
