I recently located an old Canon Photura 135 camera which belonged to my late sister who passed away in 2016. She loved this camera and I was always fascinated by its look. It took me 7 years to locate it in some of her old camera equipment which I finally decided to go through. I haven't tried to use it yet. Can anyone tell me whether it worth it to try to use it. Is there anyone out there who knows anything about this camera and really enjoys it. I have the initial instruction guide
It would certainly be worth the price of a roll of 35mm film and the developing to satisfy your curiosity.
That camera is hardly an antique
I think all hoggers would like to see a picture of it. Thank You
Looks like a video camera. Very innovative design for that era, would not have guessed it shot film.
Here is picture of Photura

Interesting camera.
Might look on Ebay to see a current value.
If film is your thing and it works go for it.

I'm an antique (89). My camera equipment, though not new, is not.
THANKS, that sounds more accurate! you are NOT alone, no disrespect intended.. God Bless
I bought this camera before the digital age- I also loved it. Although it is quite bulky it is easy to use - only need one hand. People always thought it was a video camera.
I intend to play with this camera, I always loved the look and thought it might be fun to use. Looks futuristic, Mly mistake was calling it an antique. I was anxious to to post on UHG. In this age of digital photography, I thought I might get a lot of responses from young people. I am 76 yrs old, but young at heart. Thanks to all who said this was not an antique camera. I agree. It is not a box with a pin hole. Thanks to all who responded, young and old.
