Silverado vs Bishop Gorman (NIAA 5A Semi-Finals)

Jules Karney Loc: Las Vegas, Nevada

Ok let me set the stage. Usually I don't shoot outside when the weather is 35 degrees with a slight wind. So I say to myself these two teams don't get much photos coverage as with all flag football so I will bundle up and give it the old college try. I figure by halftime if I am to cold I head for the warmth of the car. Well the wind subsided and I am going to brave the whole game. Bishop Gorman won this battle, but lost the next week in the finals.

Nikon 70-200 2.8
D500 and D4
300 2.8 on some shots

1/1000 to 1/1600 at 2.8
Auto white balance
Auto iso around 6400-8000

Bravo for braving the cold Jules and another bravo for enduring flag football! Your pictures are stellar, and if flag football ever comes to the district I typically take pictures in I'll have plenty of examples on what I should capture!

Thanks for sharing! 1/1600 really (flag football)? I don't even go that high for volleyball and I should if it wasn't for the poor indoor lighting!

The school improved the lighting. What a difference to shoot in.
Hope All is well

You are still the MAN Jules. These are real nice. Is this an actual high school sport in Vegas? I wish we had it here in Kansas. I am still working on a couple of basketball games trying to get right using Topaz. Hoping to get the time to go online like you told me to do and get more info on how to actualy use Topaz. Thanks BE SAFE!!

Worthy of a master’s degree for this ‘old college try’!
