Some more gymnastics! Good news, bad news with the Z9. Good news vast majority of the images were nice and sharp. Bad news - it made it very difficult to cull! A few of my favorites from the meet.

Shot with the Z9 paired with an f2.8 70-200 S lens. Shot wide open at f2.8, ISO 5000 with a shutter speed of 1/1250.

WOW!! These are awesome Rick. I wish I had the problem of too many good shots to cull. I especially love the third shot, hanging in the air on the beam. I really think gymnast are some of the most athletic of all sports. Keep posting. Thanks and BE SAFE!! I will go to your Zen site and look at the others.

The shots, as always, are fantastic. Too bad the backgrounds, for lack of a better word, suck (of course nothing you can do about that).

I am really impressed that you got focus as sharp as you did at f2.8. Really nice pics, you did the ladies justice!

Unfortunately, that "problem" doesn't occur very often! LOL!

I find it to be a trade off. My first goal is to get into a good position, being aware of the background. I try to avoid empty seats and other non participant folks. Sometimes it works. Others, I end up doing cropping or just having to live with it.
