Prairie cinquefoil - Drymocallis arguta - Rose family. It is a native North American species, found from Maine to Montana and as far south as Missouri in the US, and across Canada as far west as Alberta.

Thanks rockdog. I was fortunate that the assassin bug nymphs stayed still long enough to get multiple shots for a stack. The insect experts here can correct me if I am wrong on the ID for those critters.

Thanks, Mike. There are a couple of species found in California that are closely related to this: "Sticky cinquefoil" - Drymocallis glandulosa - and "Common cinquefoil" - Drymocallis glandulosa.
