New Nikon Lens

You may have heard that there is a new lens for Z cameras - the 26mm f/2.8 pancake lens. There are lots of YouTube videos about this. At $496, I think I will be able to get by without it. I have a pancake lens for my Fuji, and that will be enough. If there's one thing I don't need, it's a stack of expensive pancakes. : )

We have to be very careful with GAS, it is not the best solution to protect our bank account. Why do I want a 26mm lens (in my case for my D610) when I have an excellent 24mm f2.8?
It really makes no sense to me.

Fortunately, I have natural protection against GAS. It's called "Available Finances." I have to allow money for food, taxes, gasoline, and ice cream.

After watching this video I'm sold on this lens but not at 500.00. I'll watch and if KEH or MPB lists one in the future I may very well pick one up.

Definitely! I have bought so many used items, and they all looked brand new.

It will be on sale in a few months. The 28mm, with a plastic mount, is about $200 cheaper.

I wish Nikon would re-create the 135/f2 dc, and use the same type of construction that the f mount lens.

They mentioned that in the review I saw - probably on its way - "The Grays of W..." on YouTube.
