"Just another IR" title belittles how interesting IR full spectra is, the architecture and surroundings, also your skillful selection of the photos excellent construction. Personally, I really like this IR photo.

What camera, what filter, what basic "fooling around ?" to achieve this fine, interesting result.

Two Suggestions:
1. Crop the right side to the tall tree, the notch does not add and thus detracts.
2. Use the prospective and straightening tools to comfort our inharent need for level/vertical reference.

I used a Sony A5000 that I had converted to 590nm. I did the channel swap, and I used some of Rob Shea's actions.

I had a real problem with the straightness of this photo. I took it at an angle, and there is some distortion due to the lens that I used. I could not get both sides to be straight. I have no idea how I can resolve this problem. I kind of "Split the difference" and got the two sides mostly straight. But I still can't get it right. I will try again to see it there is something that I can do. It really does bother me, and I keep thinking that there has to be some way that I can resolve this.

I agree. The lens distortion is really bad.

Thank you, Mike. Except for the distortion.

Well with the 590 conversion you can go deeper IR, by adding as an example a 720 filter to the lens. 590 is a good choice.

Interesting problem straightening and prospective distortion. OK... here is an unusual try. Crop to make two photos and straighten and adjust prospective distortion on the far edges distorted by the lens. Then double the canvas width of one and then put the other corrected image on the blank canvas space making the original image.

But remember non pixel picking humans will never notice.... Giving a level line for them to use would be sufficient.

Color creative adjustment you mentioned Rob Shea. The site give some 3rd party tool links.

I use free color swap by Flamingpear. For fine adjustment of color I use my older Topaz Clarity which allows adjustment of contrast, saturation, Luminosity and shade.

After looking at this for a while, I was thinking of just that. I haven't tried it, but I was thinking that is the only way to do it.
It may turn out to be a lot of work, as these things usually do, but I just might try it.
Thank you
