As always, the eagles show up in January and stay through March.
These were taken last Sunday. The light was varying, partly sunny to cloudy and back. The eagle, then its mate, were far enough away for my equipment that I had to crop heavily. That and low light resulted in limited IQ, but Topaz DeNoise and Sharpening tools helped a bit.

Comments and critiques welcome.

Nice photos, Ronnie! I plan to be there tomorrow, hopefully will have success in seeing/photographing some eagles.

Always love to see photos of Eagles,
I sure wish Jordan Dam was about 30 minutes closer to me I'd have to make the drive up to see.

Tomorrow will be a sunny day, so good choice. On Sunday, I went at 3.30 and saw a total of 2 eagles. Folks already there told me that "earlier", there were up to 7. Of course, being unpredictable, there is no guarantee that you will see more eagles if you reach earlier tomorrow.

Happy shooting.

I see that Waxahaw to Moncure is 125 miles - so quite a hike. For me it is 28 miles, much more convenient. I visited Waxahaw once to attend a conference. Pretty place!
