"Natural History" published my photo/story of the story of Gosling Sandhill - a little Canada Goose gosling that was adopted by a Sandhill Crane family. This is the only documented case of Sandhills adopting a bird of another genus.
It was published last March, so I'm a little late in posting this!

Congratulations!! Not only for being published but for a very well written story. I'll admit to a lump in my throat and my eyes welling with tears for a bird I've never met but he was a valiant little soul.

Someone needs to make a statue/memorial for him.
