They were nice back in the day. Too bad they were made by Chrysler. I speak from experience" ex-ASE mechanic who owned a '74 340 Dodge 4x4 Ramcharger. Not a total piece of garbage, but very close.

I wouldn't brag about being an ASE mechanic, I took the test when it first came out while my score was only 95, I considered the test a farce have seen people that passed it and knowing they could just barley change a tire.
In 40 yrs of being certified I never considered it an achievement !! and never wore the patches!!

I used to have '74 Charger, 318, and I wish I still have ad it. It was a great car for. Mine was copper colored with the reflective striping.

Another fine image from KT.

My very similar 71 Charger did more dodging than charging.

It's easy to spot the ones who know nothing of Mopar. Ignorance is bliss they say.

I was certified through ASE for awhile. It was kind of a joke. About the only benefit I could see was the possibility of using the credentials to find another job......most likely one that never paid much better than the last one.

I was ASE registered for awhile in my career. I never got much benefit from it, except it might get your foot in the door on another job.....probably one that was just about as good as the one I would be leaving.
