Tilde, if you happen to see TrachG on line somewhere, please ask her to come to this thread and explain the story behind her first-place photo. All I can remember is that it is a very touching story, and truly a Feeling of Warmth between that horse and the girl in the wheelchair.

I certainly will do! I'm sure it is a very touching story, too, as my daughter has multiple disabilities and spent a good deal of time around horses as rehab. Many stables have programs like this and they are priceless in terms of having profound, life-long, positive effects.
I look forward to hearing her story... thanks again :)

Gizzy, I'd love to hear the story myself! I think also, that photograph tells the story very much on it's own!

Congratulations to the winners on both sides and I applaud you, sir gizzy, for expending the interest and energy to do this. It went pretty slow up 'til yesterday and all of a sudden, it became an old fashion "pile on." Good job everyone!!!!!

Thank you so much for participating in our Cumberland County Camera Club "CCCC" (Illinois) photo contest. I'm sorry that some of the later entries didn't make it in time for yesterday afternoon's deadline.

27 photos were submitted by UHH members. All 27 of these 8x10 photos (printed with an HP color laser printer on mat photo paper) were numbered and displayed face-up in random order on two long tables butted end-to-end -- 16 feet of table covered with beautiful photos. The 20 members of our CCCC club then walked around and around the tables, trying to decide on which photo best fit the theme, and/or which one touched their hearts the most with "A Feeling Of Warmth" and then cast secret ballots. The photo receiving the most votes was awarded 1st place (see below) Two of the photos tied for second place. I dropped out of the voting to make our panel an odd number of judges, and then secret ballots were again taken. Only one vote separated 2nd from from 3rd place (10 to 9).

After the UHH photos were judged, our camera club judged our own photos in a similar manner, except that we are not allowed to vote for our own photo. The winners of this contest are posted below the winners submitted by you UGG members.

Thanks again for participating. It's been a lot of fun, and I hope you continue enjoying photography. Everyone is a winner when you capture time-slices of history with your camera.
Thank you so much for participating in our Cumberl... (show quote)

I remember the story but it's Tracey's story so she can tell it. That should dispel any notion lying out there that I tell everything I know. lol!

Thank you sir for including my photo (and the others from UHH) in your club's contest! I am quite pleased to have my entry choosen to be among the top three! Congrats to all who won and it had to have been a tough choice as I saw many excellent images.

You're a little bit late to join this contest, heidionefligrl, but I'll tell you what, you hit one heck of a bump in the road when you too
THAT shot! You didn't get hurt, did you? Are you all right? Do you need medical care?

I do not recall the pic, when or where it took place. When I originally clicked on this topic it didn't have 7 pages, I think it was my internet or something I went back and refreshed the screen and then realized that the thread was from months ago.It was wired. I then deleted the pic and am all up to date!
