I am 77 y.o., living in Western North Carolina. My interests have been landscape - mountains, moving water - also macro and old stuff (vehicles, buildings). With a recent move to a city - Asheville - I am doing more urban photography. I also am doing more black and white images than I have done in the past.
Your neighborhood has a small parcel of land that can offer many great photo ops. The Biltmore Estate is a photographer's DisneyWorld! Landscapes, scenaries, wildlife, people and A REALLY BIG HOUSE provide all the subjects you could want. It seems possible that you could spend an entire week in the house and not see the same thing twice. Be very careful to avoid the drones, they are operated remotely and go all over the Estate, Big Brother and all are watching everything that happens there. Wildlife will ignore you, but the people are max friendly! Fantastic material for a man with a camera. Not sure about the current size but originally it occupied 117,000 acres of Carolina Finery. Unlimited possibilities, go for them all. And have fun doing it!
