Topaz released the full version of Photo AI. Photo AI incorporates the best of Sharpen, DeNoise and Gigapixel in one magic package. If you own DeNoise, sharpen and Gigapixel it's free. My experience so far has been that as long as it can determine a subject it does a good job of processing the tiff file. It definitely speeds up work flow--when it works. My opinion is that anyone who owns The Trio should at least take a look at Photo AI, after all it's free.

I’ve been using it a lot over the past few days on old scanned photos that have fair to poor resolution, with mixed results. Generally speaking, I find it tends to over sharpen; and sometimes distorts the shape of features like spectacles. I would rate it as a work in progress.

I had it when it was still in Beta and yes I agree it really speeds up the process. I also like the subject selection mask too. To top it all off the price is right too if you have their trinity already

I use only DeNoise and Sharpen. I always use DeNoise. I agree that Sharpen sometimes over sharpens so I check what it does and then decide on whether to stay with DeNoise or add Sharpen.

FYI, It is only free if you have the 3 programs with free updates. If not you have to purchase it.
I have a discount code.
PM me if interested

My free [$99] update ran out 2 weeks before the release. I should contact TPZ and play my being 86 poverty card.
The three AI plugins are indeed magic.

Curmudgeon, I suspension, still uses a keyboard and mouse and does not edit/create with verbal commands. Joking, but it appears that our digital photo world will be just that. If one notices on You-Tube, it is raining AI creation programs that depend on massive photo databases and verbal/text descriptions of the photo creation.

I haven’t downloaded it yet, (I’ve been using DXO Pure Raw and very happy with it). My question is about the masking. It sounds like the mask would apply to both the Denoise and Sharpen functions. Currently with the separate versions I will Denoise the entire image but then use the mask to selectively sharpen. Is that possible with Photo AI?

I concur with your findings.
However, IMHO Topaz Photo AI does not seem to work as well as using the Topaz DeNoise AI, and Sharpen AI, on poorly taken photos requiring some TLC.
I also find that it really shines, from a time management point of view, when you dump a group of fair to good shots into the program and just use the default settings.
Then what it produces is only in need of a few tweaks to satisfy your individual desires.
Topaz Photo AI is not anywhere close to perfect, but it is still a good start, and with the frequent Topaz Products updates I feel certain that it will soon meet some (our UHH) pretty high standards.
All in all, Topaz Photo AI makes me . . . .

I do have the Topaz Suite, so I downloaded just to see what it was all about. It's not for me. I can get better results with my current workflow, which is to do initial editing in LrC or PS then calling on Sharpen AI or DeNoise AI as needed, sometimes GigaPixel for extreme crops.

Just a slight correction. It’s only free if you purchased the three individual apps recently (I think within a year). I purchased mine a while ago and when I check out the price, it says I am eligible for a discount. My price is $99.

I believe my discount will work with your price.

I bought the trio package 3 months ago, and downloaded the Photo AI effortlessly for free. Photo AI has saved me time improving some images that needed all three adjustments; no complaints so far...

That seems to me to be Photo AIs major weakness. If your subject is a large object in your frame, like a bird or a person it has no problem finding it but if it's a bee on a cluttered background. Honestly, IMO,if you only own DeNoise and Sharpen I wouldn't spend the money on Photo AI

Matt Kloskowski YT videos are always worth reviewing on Topaz, as well as other major Software. Last week he covered the latest update and made an interesting observation on the somewhat uniqueness of a vendor offering a software enhancement FOC. As an addendum, his historical recommendation has been to primarily use Denoise as it also adequately covers the sharpening of an image. Personally, the suggestion to use Denoise has met my needs as, in many cases, when using Denoise the numbers for sharpen are higher than noise reduction; probably reflecting my inability to differentiate between noise and sharpening at times.
