Some questions from a new member

Hello All,
I'm new to this site. I asked a question to the admin but I got a standard reply which does not answer my question.

Does anyone know if the "writer" has any "right of use" on his/her article?
For example, if I publish my articles or pictures on "Ugly Hedgehog" site, later on, can I publish them in an anthology or submit them for a competition? Do I need permission? Can "Ugly Hedgehog, Inc" claim any rights?

Also, what are the rules/regs to publish an article? Is there any place to see them?
For example, what is the format of text, pdf, word etc.? Is there a limit for word count, picture size and type, etc.?

Thank you very much for your help.

I don’t know the answer to your question. Maybe you should contact a copyright lawyer.

I don't know UHH's take on it but I often put up the same post on several Face Book photo groups, esp bird sites. And I always start on FB and end with UHH.

As a published author with lots of experience, I’d say the answer depends entirely on the second publisher. You own the writing and you can do anything you want to with it, including paying for the official copyright. But a publisher also has the option of accepting or declining. Just be up front with prior use of writing.
