It is an electromechanical dial. I haven't tried it, but chimed in on your thread to keep up with the replies you receive.

What did you find about reprogramming in the manual, using the longer reference guide version, say around page 367? Programming the lens control ring on mirrorless lenses or the adapter is one place many set to control the ISO.

I'm not sure, but since it's mechanical, I doubt it.

Lots of videos -

I don't have the Zfc, I didn't see where you would control the iso manualy.

I did a search through the 624-page online manual, and it looks like the Exposure Compensation Dial controls exposure compensation. Period.

Ken, maybe this will help you. Its made with a camera you dont own in a mode you never use, plus some PP.

I can on top there is a speed dial, f-stop dial, exposure compensation dial.
There is a dial by the thumb on back, may be the iso dial.

look at the top of the camera. The one on the right of the viewfinder is the shutter speed. The one on top but at about where the right thumb is is the exposure compensatiion. There is an unmarked dial in the front which normally you use to control the aperture but can be used for several different functions. But look at the leff of the viewfinder there is a dial and it is the ISO dial.

Ok, got it. Helps to look closer. And like you say, the front dial can use for aperture.

Hi Jerry
I attach a 1/4 round to my camera for a hand grip.
Could you attach one to the leather half case?

It can't be reprogramed but why would you want to do that? There is already a dedicated ISO dial on the left hand side of the camera. The ISO dial is circled in red in the attachment. The shutter speed dial is to the tight of the viewfinder and the exposure compensation dial is just behind the video record button at the extreme right. ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation can also be controlled in other ways. If by "f-stop dial" you meant aperture, none of the top dials controls aperture. Apertures can be controlled by using either the front or rear wheel, the focus ring on a lens, or a dedicated aperture ring if your lens has one. What do you believe is missing?
