There was a discussion a few days ago about going to find something in a store, and that particular section is blocked by someone else looking for the same thing. That happened to me today. I went the hardware store to find long, thin bolts. There was no one in the store except the clerk and the customer he was helping. They were blocking the area where I would have continued looking. I doubt they had what I needed because I think I covered the area where they would have been, but it would have been nice to continued looking. The aisles were very narrow, and this woman kept asking questions and dragging things out.

I'll look through the garage and see if I can find something suitable. There's always Amazon. : )

I spent some time in my garage, and I found an assortment of #6 bolts that will work fine, although I suspect the original, shorter bolts were metric. These will work, though.

What I really appreciate is when overweight momma rides Walmart’s electric scooter down the middle of the aisle, preventing people from either direction from getting around her.

What really brightens my day is when overweight daughter on her scooter rides slightly behind and to the side of momma, also on her scooter. They remind me of custom cutters harvesting grain with their combines running in diagonal formation. When you see that you best just turn around and go somewhere else because they ALWAYS have to stop while momma reads the label on the 5-gallon bucket of chocolate chip ice cream, after which they discuss whether they should get the 5-gallon bucket or two 2-1/2 gallon tubs. Or the 55 gallon drum of chocolate syrup to go with it. And after they get checked out, they park the scooters and walk to their car in the parking lot.

And they wonder why some people murder total strangers.

Sometimes a polite "excuse me" will work wonders

Not in this case. The clerk and the woman were going through those pull-out boxes of bolts. "Excuse me" would have meant, "Stop what you're doing and move out of the way."

Are there no overweight males in your Walmart?

I think there is a minimum weight requirement to enter. That's why they have "Greeters."

Just think, those rude people just saved you money! You can't dislike that can you?

I do my grocery shopping very early in the morning when very few other shoppers are around.
Many times I have walked directly to the counter location for something I need and found the only other customer in the store squatted down, right in front of the item I needed, trying to read a label on the bottom shelf. Or, while I am bent over trying to read the tiny price label, I find the one other customer in the store standing behind me waiting for me to finish.

Well, not really. I either waste time waiting, or I drive to another store.

I do my grocery shopping online. I drive to the parking lot, and someone puts the food into my car - all for $3.00.

As for early morning, that is the key to happiness. If I go into town later in the day, I have lots of traffic and lots of people in the stores. Before 10:00 everything is less crowded. If I go too early, I get the people rushing to work.

That's one reason I do not shop at Wally World anymore. There are better places locally where I can spend my money and it stays in my hometown.

Oh yes, there are plenty of overweight males around here. And often times they are riding the scooter while their wife pushes the shopping cart loaded down with kids and groceries, is trying to ride herd on the rest of the kids as she struggles to load a case of beer onto the cart. And he usually smells like week old sweat. And no I don’t offer to help her when her lazy assed husband sets there like a knot on a log.

There’s a big difference between a day’s worth of sweating while working and plain uncleanliness. Yesterday I had three shirts drying on the clothes line while I sweated up a fourth. I get dirty and more than once I’ve went to the auto parts store with greasy clothes. But being poor doesn’t mean you have to be poor of self respect.

As for me being a joy to live with I can’t say. However, my adult children and their kids like going on vacation with me. As they did when they were teenagers. I figure teenage kids and adult children are not going to set in a car for a week with someone they consider an A-hole. But that’s just my opinion and everyone is entitled to their own.
