On August 3rd I took a photo of a plant with no adult flowers visible. Yesterday I took a photo of the same plant and it had one adult flower growing. Today, just two days later than when I first photographed it there were two adult flowers growing. It almost doesn't seem possible but there it is. Here are the photographs.

Each plant works on its on schedule. We have Day Lilies where the bloom only lasts one day and some that will last for a week or more. The Century plant only produces flowers only once every hundred years. And it only last for a short time. And on and on.
