While waiting impatiently for the Osprey to show up at Goleta Slough I saw this Juvenile Black Crowned Night Heron across the slough in his best position of pose. I hope you like them.

Very nice. Odd how there is only one leg in each image.

Thank you Mike. Not a lot of work, just drive up to the slough, look across the slough about 20 yards and there he was waiting for me to take his picture. I was happy to help out.

Thanks for a great comment.

I find them often standing on only one leg. I have no idea why.

Thanks for a great comment.

Thank you Jack for taking a look and for noticing the one legged bird. I know you will feel better knowing I have started a Go Fund Me account in the name of George Heron for his missing leg. So far I have raised 250 Million dollars and as soon as I can locate this specific George Heron I will certainly give it to him. So many look alikes. Where to start?

It doesn’t seem to impede him in #2. Very nice set Dennis.

Thank you Sylvia. I am sure if he wants to move around he will use both legs.
