I've had it for over 15 years, at this point it feels like I always have shoes on. It started in my toes and worked up my legs, the last time tested, apparently it is starting to affect my hands as well. All my docs say there isn't much that can be done. It does burn and has pain now and then, it is very difficult not to wear shoes and even small things are very painful when stepped on. I have trouble walking on grass but no trouble on smooth, hard surfaces. At 75 I'm just living with it.
Dave, I too feel like I am wearing shoes, I sometime look down at my feet to see if I have shoes on and I question my sanity.
