This guy flew ahead to pose valiantly after hiding from me in another tree.

Nice Mocker

Keep the tree, their pollen is the one thing I am most allergic to in this world according to two different allergy clinic's tests and while in their native area of China they pollenate 1 month a year, here in our So Cal climate some of them are pollenating 9 months a year. And because they grow fast, don't get too big and make nice dense shade, landscapers and the highway people plant a lot of them.

Thank you very much, Jerry! And my allergist said I should move away from the trees. I usually struggle for a month in the fall and the spring. Plus their heavy limbs snap off. They’re a nuisance.

Yes, those dense small leaves get wet and the weight snaps the limbs off. My parents had one in their backyard that did that three times. The third time it damaged the roof of the house and out came the chain saw. Paving stones, a large round table with umbrella and chairs replaced it.

Bummer about the roof but it could have been much worse. Ours are street trees and the city said they are protected and can’t be removed. Xhance helps me cope.
