I hope somebody buys one and lets us know, but it seems like you should be right? I posted that about half-jokingly, but if I ever do take up vlogging I think it would work well to overcome the primary complaint about the Z50 screen not fully articulating? I only rarely use the screen on mine for shooting up or down (when the sun isn't making it useless) and if the video doesn't work, I still wouldn't know about that since I haven't used it yet. I'm one of the change-resistant elderly population. 😜

I consider that a great feature, preferable to the fully articulating type. It's quicker and more accurately placed for waist level or overhead shooting than the fully articulating. You have to fumble around less to get it positioned, and are less likely to miss a shot.
For video, yes, of course the fully adjustable type is needed, but for still photography, I prefer the Z50 type screen.
I've seen myself in a mirror before and it was not a pleasant experience.😜
I just duplicated what their device would do with a bathroom mirror. The image is right side up but mirrored left/right.
The mirror survived.
