I recently got a pacemaker. I am doing fine. It feels like I am 65 again. Since I need to keep my left arm below my shoulder(I am right handed) for a few more weeks, I decided to take photos with the camera at waist level or lower.

I took these this morning on the nature path near our new home in Georgia.

I used a Panasonic LX10, a compact camera with a flip out screen.

Had a pacemaker and new piglet aortic valve replacement last December. Feeling fine. Unfortunately, I had severe recovery pain in shoulder for quite a while - probably 6 weeks - which was unusual. All's well that ends well. Good for another 20,000 miles!!
Hope your healing/recovery period is short and easy!!

Terrific shots!! Maybe shoot from the "hip" all the time?

I got an aortic valve too, and in December as well. However, mine was a big cow valve (mine is bigger than yours! Ha!). Although I wasn’t supposed to, I was loading logs 3 weeks after the operation. My chest bone was a bit tender for the first 10 days, otherwise no pain, no pain pills after getting home and no rehab needed. I guess loading firewood and logs paid off. And I feel great!

It’s amazing what doctors can do these days!

Very nice. I remember as a kid seeing people with a camera that they used to look down into the top while shooting at waist level. The technique isn’t holding you back. Hope your recovery goes smoothly.
