Question about sorting using Lightroom

Using the filters, I can select various metadata fields to search, such as: camera type, lens, focal length, etc. Suppose I select lens then I will see a list something like
24-70 f2.8 200
14-24 f2.8 80
24-90 f4.5. 1200
Etc…

But it does not appear to be in any particular order. I want to find the lens I use most, the second most, etc. Is there any way to sort the column by most-least or least-most ?

I don't think so, but here's a couple of links that might help.

https://photographylife.com/what-lens-do-you-use-the-most

It's Not much help, might give you an idea

Indeed it did. In the Photography Life article linked above Nasim states:
"unfortunately, there is no way to sort lenses by the numbers of pictures taken."

Adding this to my list of Lightroom improvements to suggest next time Adobe asks for a survey. The date on the article is 2019. So apparently it's still not there.

I am adding this to my list of "improvements" to suggest next time the LR Survey window pops up.

Thank you for the reply.

Not directly. Sort on one, select all to get the count, write it down, and do the next.

Hello JD,
I just joined this forum today and saw you post. I think you might find this link to analytical software your looking for. The program looks at the metadata in your LR library file folders and sorts the info as you described in your post.
https://exposureplot.en.softonic.com/

Full disclosure; I got this link for a "free" download some time ago from another UHH member.....and found it very useful for the type of analysis you're seeking.

Thank you for the tip. I will take a look and report results!
