I've been playing with Pixbim Color Surprise AI software.

Not sure I always like the results, but it's a fun experiment.

What do you think?

It does not work, too much bleeding. Too much emphasis on the greens.

I ran the same images through PS CC neural filters.

There are different issues but it seems better than your program.

I think the clothing comes better in your solution. The skin and hairs are better in PS CC.

What do you think?

Agreed... For now, i plan to use only for old family photos.... The Pixbim software has color correction sliders that I've not tried yet. so there may be some improvement. It does have a batch mode and single click processing, so is very convenient.

The colorized version of the building reminds me of what a 50’s postcard might would like. I am not familiar with the program you used, but I suspect you can tweak any starting point you created when you first colorized.

The best solution is a set of Marshall’s photo colors ……

I tried hand coloring back in the 60’s. It was a lot of fun recreating that vintage hand colored look.

For me the B&W wins. Especially the portrait.

I have been relatively happy with Photoshop's colorizing filter

I lived across the street from Robie House in New Dorms during my first year in college. Unless you want some kind of retro look, I do not like any of those renderings. The original was much nicer.

We lived at 6025 S Kimbark during the late 70's in the La Florista University Apartments -- now a parking lot.
