Remember the A1 has been on sale for over a year longer than the Z9, and the total A1 numbers sold and being used already is more than the Z9 sold and used so far.
Top worldwide news services like Associated Press , Canada Press, UK Press and all Gannett media, have moved from Nikon and Canon and now are using Sony exclusively for all their staff photographers and staff videographers, worldwide. For videographers and still photographers that includes several Sony models in addition to A1, like A9II, A7RIV, A7IV, A7SIII, FX3, FX6 and other Sony models.
Those staffers will not be Canon R3 or Nikon Z9 buyers, unless it is for their own personal gear. Freelancers use their own gear, any brand they choose.
