Beauty. Does the A1 make a difference for you?

I almost hate to say this but compared to all my previous cameras it takes most of the challenge out of it.

I have only used it in the bird mode. It finds the eye about 70% more or less, varying by bird size, color, head position and distance...black birds in lower light are the worst.

I get my CFexpress type A card, hopefully today, so the frame rate has not been optimized, but still there are more keepers than I need. Wished Sony would have use Type B cards instead.

When reviewing images in camera it shows the focus point so any misses are apparent and culled on the spot. The images have more noise than the A9II or A7R4...Topaz to the rescue.

Like all the recent Sony cameras I have purchased and used for extended periods, the focus is outstanding when it works . All of them refuse to lock on at times in low contrast situations, including the A1. I have tried every possible setting combinations to no avail. Frustrating, but I have learned to work a round it.

In spite of a few quibbles I really like the camera and would buy it again.
