Check local Goodwill and other Thrift type stores. Here in Florida these type stores always have tripods, many light duty cheap ones but occasionally some good ones and the cost is very little usually.

Thank you so much getting back to me I have look there DelRae

Try Surui, one of the better "values" in photography. Your rig is NOT very heavy, I constantly shoot using a monopod using a 1Dx mated with an EF 500mm lens. This combination has allowed me to shoot wildlife from the Appalachians to the Rockies with minimum efforts. 63 inch tripods are very cumbersome to be lugged into the field.

Thank you I have a new Monopod and I hate it I will check out Surui DelRae

I have tried lots of tripods over the years, and this is my choice. Sure, you can spend a lot of money, but rock solid is rock solid...no matter the price. I am 5'8" tall, and I very seldom use the center column.

Use mine all the time in or out of the studio. Love this one...and the price is very low...compared to the quality.

A word of caution about the Neewer branded products. Quality can be hit or miss. I personally had a very bad experience with a Neewer carbon fiber tripod and even worse experience with their “customer service” staff. As I understand it, Neewer is a marketing company that sources their products from various factories. I would be happy to be corrected, but I don’t believe that they actually make anything themselves. When the center column of my tripod started sticking and finally refused to budge, I was told that it was “within spec.” I’ve steered clear ever since.

My recommendation for your search is to be very clear on the capability of the tripod you need (the diameter of the legs is a general guideline for the stability with various loads), and keep an eBay search active for that specific type. You will eventually get a reasonable bargain. Since that Neewer fiasco, I have purchased four Gitzo tripods of various sizes on eBay for about 1/3 of list price.

Good luck!

DelRae a Canon EOS 5D Mark IV weighs 890g
and Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM weighs 1485g

Combined you are looking at 2375 (likely 2400g with filter)
That's 5.3lbs and maybe not appropriate for a cost effective light weight tripod.

Best advice? Pony up for a rig that will be stable with over 5lbs of payload.
Experience is a brutal teacher.

As for shooting BB from the bleachers?
Please consider obtaining credentials to shoot from court side...
Your Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM has IS.
In this scenario I've used a Black Rapid "Classic" strap with good success.

btw, you might invest time on the UHH Sports Photographers Forum.
There you will find commercial shooters many of which will be more than amendable to provide guidance.

Hope this helps or is at least food for thought.
All the best on your photographic journey.
