There you go species profiling It could have been Turtles.

Great shot with a story Bill! I think there’s a good chance that the fox got them.
In my experience Canada geese are very attentive parents and the goslings stick pretty close.
Around here the mink, raccoons and coyotes have a field day this time of year with the young and the eggs too.

What a great shot! Looks like the fox is reflecting on how much better a whole meal would be as opposed to just a couple of light snacks?

You could be right Frank. We have at least 2 huge turtles that are sometimes seen travelling between the three ponds in our development.

Thanks for stopping in Frank, much appreciated.

Thanks Mike! Sometimes we get lucky. I went out to photograph the goslings and found a fox.

I think you are correct. Late in the day the two geese flew off after spending a little over a month tending to eggs and then 3 little ones. Thanks for your input!

Perhaps it’s trying to decide which one for the main course after enjoying the 3 hors d’oeuvres.
