Have you tried Ebay? I bought one about a year ago with an Arca B1 head for $500 or so. How tall do you need it?

Carbon 6x is the designation Gitzo uses for its carbon fiber material on some of its products. My dinky little monopod is a "Carbon 6x" monopod. You probably should specify what model (or similar) tripod you are looking for.
