I have somehow gotten an image on the live view screen of a circle which looks like an image to maybe help with leveling the camera. My question is how do I remove this image as Find it distracting. The camera is a Nikon D7500.

Go into the setup menu (the little wrench) and look for “virtual horizon” and turn it off.
On my Nikon & Sony it is just changing Screen View using the rocker button, no need to go into Settings.
Stardust please do me a favor. Pick up your Nikon. (I assume it’s a D7500 because that’s what OP was asking about). On your Nikon, turn on the virtual horizon then try to change it using the rocker button. Please post the results here.
I was going to say search the D7500 User Manual for 'level', but that proved to be a waste of time. Look instead for 'horizon' and you'll likely find the solution faster than hoping for useful guesses from the UHH community.

On a Nikon D810, I push the info button on the bottom of the rear of the camera when in Live View. Try this multiple times & it will toggle through several display options & then off. Not the same camera but might work. Check out virtual horizon in your D7500 user's manual. It is amazing what is in there!
