Yesterday I was thinking that it would be nice to visit the wood ducks again before they leave until the next season. I have been visiting them at a location that they overnight. The pond shots were fun to do, but the end of the day equipment packing and drive in the dark wasn't much fun. So I decided to visit the pond this morning and shoot into the morning, instead of chasing the light into dusk. I was up at 4:30am. Being very quiet, as my wife is not a morning person. And 4:30am is not even in the ballpark of morning for any of my family. I chucked the camera and tripod into the back seat and was out and set up before the sunrise. Then I just waited.

I think the morning light added a different dimension to the images, and with the help of post processing, I was able to get a couple of them edited for posting right now. I took over 400 images, many of them look just like these
