Although I've been following "Ugly" for some time, I just registered in order to reply to a recent post. Always loved to take/create photos but 10 years ago an accident led to being partially handicapped. Due to my current condition, I use a walker or (polio) type crutches. Needless to say, this has put a damper on my photographic style as I can no longer bend, climb, or walk long distances. Are there others in the group with similar problems? Most of my photos are from a sitting position. I've been using the Nikon Z50 for a couple of years since it is lightweight as I also have problems with my left hand. The spinal cord injury led to several issues! Not hear to complain, I'm happy I can do what I can. Wishing everyone well and Happy Pictures.

Welcome to UHH.

A lighter weight dslr with wifi like the Nikon D5300 or a similar mirrorless camera if mounted on a stick and operated with a celphone might help you with finding the composition without contorting yourself. Just my 2 cents.

Again welcome and may you find the stay enjoyable & goodluck on your shoots.
Keep safe and happy!

I'm in the same situation, I'm 88 years old and because of my back & balance problems,
have to use a walker and/or cane. As a professional photographer years ago, I had to sell my
professional equipment and am relegated to using a Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS70. The Leica
24-720 MM lens does a very nice job.

In any event welcome to the club, and wish you all the best.

Thanks for your comment. I'm only pushing 70 years young but also have difficulty with my left hand which adds to the problem of keeping my hand still. that's why using the lightweight camera, using only my right hand only is paramount.

You just keep going. I am now hitting 80 years young, have shaky hands and sometimes head will shake. Also have RA which causes my balance to be off causing falls. I also use a seated walker, can no longer hike and usually stay close to car. But still get out and shoot many photos. A tripod helps. Stay in the game.
