No, I didn't see anyone donating. In fact, most folks that past me had a smirk on their face as if to say: "is this guy for real".
On the other hand, I noticed that in Manhattan, there are so many folks wanting handouts, that some people blindly walk down the street and throw money in a cup, not even paying attention to what the request was for.
