Selling to fund a new purchase. The glass is in perfect condition. There are no scratches, fungus or separations. The body is in excellent condition; there are no scuffs or scrapes. The focus ring turns smoothly. The aperture ring is snappy. The Defocus ring, and the A/M ring both function smoothly. 9 bladed aperture produces very nice bokeh. If you would like any additional pictures of the lens, or pictures taken with the lens, let me know, and I will be pleased to provide them for you.
The lens comes with the original front and rear caps, and a Nikon CL-38 hardcase to store the lens.
Will consider offers.

I have exact lens. This lens will not disappoint you.
"...additional pictures ... taken with the lens..." appreciate the journey please allow me to assist here.
The AF 135mm f/2 DC IF Nikkor is one of Nikon's most famous Portraiture Optic.
https://imaging.nikon.com/history/story/0032/index.htmWhile I Cherish what it can do wide open it is also simply amazing stopped down in the studio.
I believe your asking price may actually be a tad too low...
Perhaps you should simply ask for bids at this juncture.
Patience is a virtue, there are likely many who appreciate what this glass brings to the table.
Hope this helps...
All the best success in 2022...
Cheers! Thomas

If I could justify it, I'd buy it, but I don't do enough portraiture. Have wanted to play with one since I first saw it. I also think your asking price is too low, a bargain. Most seem to be one side or the other of $1K.
Thank you everyone for your comments, advice and pictures. Very much appreciated!

I just wanted to confirm that this is not an autofocus lens?
Westnorthwest
"...wanted to confirm that this is not an autofocus lens?"
Westnorthwest if you look carefully at the first image posted the lens clearly has an A & M Ring that is activated with the silver chrome button just above the Distance Scale Window.
I've used this optic for many years and it's Auto Focus is swift and accurate (the focus cluster is located at the rear of the all metal housing)... In order to override the Auto Focus you first have to switch your camera to "M" manual focus and then rotate the A & M ring to M.
Oh, the lens has a fabulous built in retractable hood... Use it! This optic has a huge front element that will flare like a roman candle if left naked to direct sunlight... Nikon wisely included the metal hood which actually can be "locked" into place with a simple twist.
btw, the top ring is the Defocus Control... In this image it is set to Front 5.6 which is a setting I recommend you avoid. Start with it set to Neutral (between 2 and 2) and if you want to Defocus to achieve Bokek then start by only using the R (Rear defocus setting) Experience is a brutal teacher... While Front Defocus can work it is generally a major distraction to the portrait subject... However Beauty is in the eyes of the checkbook holder so whatever the Art Director on the session wants is golden...
Hope this helps...
Notice that the Lens is currently set to "M" Manual Focus in the image.
Just in case anyone still has doubts about this optics ability to throw a background into a mesmerizing menagerie and sublime aura of color, shape and form I've posted another image showcasing it's stellar attributes.
Please keep in mind that there is a significant learning curve to mastering this Nikkor to bring out it's finest attributes. It is not likely a good match for a casual enthusiast but rather a precision tool for those seeking to excel in their craft.
Hope this helps...

Nikon would do really well to bring this to the Z line up, not sure if this would work on the adapter.
