Excellent detail, Jack! Happy New Year!
Good series Jack. I particularly like the last one.

Those are excellent. I have tried the same and have nothing but blur to show for it. lol
Don't know if you're interested, but #s 2 & 3 is a Bot Fly, I think in family Gasterophilidae but not sure. They are not common as adults, and have only vestigial mouthparts, so I'm not sure what it's doing on the flower - perhaps it can pick up nectar or honeydew from the petals? Or perhaps a meeting/mating arena? Or it just likes flowers??? If this family, they are gut parasites of mainly horses -- any around? Just FYI, if you are interested in a better ID, another time you might try to get a show of the wings showing the vein pattern, it would help greatly at least to family or perhaps genus level (true for many insects, but especially flies and wasps), but an expert might know this from your excellent portraits.
